TREATMENTS

Anti-wrinkle injections are one of our  most popular treatments. Specifically used to enhance youthfulness, rejuvenated, and refreshed look. The treatment effects are fast and results can be seen soon after application, whereas the optimal results are visible within 2 weeks. Anti-wrinkle injections can be also utilised as a preventative tool. Simply by preventing long-term formation of deep static wrinkles. Deep static wrinkles are difficult to treat.

Small and carefully considered amounts of Botulinum Toxin are injected in the areas that require treatment. In turn, this helps to relax the muslces that cause wrinkles to appear. On average the treatment takes 30 minutes to administer. Post treatment the treated areas may appear mildly red and in rare cases bruising may appear too, these shall subside in a few days. The effects are patient dependant, however on average they last between 3-6 months. A top up session should be attended as per recommended to ensure optimum results.

What to expect post your procedure?

You will notice an improvement within the first two to three days post your treatment. In about two to three weeks time, you will see the results. A top up at this point may be required to adjust and review the treatment results.

It is important that post treatment you do not do strenuous exercise, lay down or bend for 4-6 hours.

Dermal fillers can help provide a fuller and a smoother look in the face, specifically in nasolabial folds, cheeks, lips, chin and the back of the hands. Dermal fillers also known as injectable implants and soft tissue fillers can help to fill wrinkles and grooves, and depressed areas. Dermal fillers are injected with a small needle underneath the skin.

Due to loss of volume, dermal fillers can help in treating wrinkles and creases. The most common and popular areas to treat are: lips, cheeks, nose bridge, forehead, tear troughs(under eye hollowness and dark circles), mouth lines, jawline and neck definition.

Dermal Fillers provide instant results and can be used to contour the face, enhance your own facial features, provide symmetry and balance.

Dermal Fillers are made from natural sugars present in the body. The filler normally lasts between six and eighteen months, entirely patient dependant(depends on how quickly the body metabolises the solution)

What does the procedure involve:

To reduce sensitivity a numbing cream is applied to the areas due to be treated. The filler is then carefully injected in the skin through a skinny needle or cannula. A numbing cream is applied to the treated areas for reducing the sensitivity. It takes about half an hour to one hour to complete the procedure.


Post treatment 

Some mild redness, bruising and swelling may appear immediatelly after treatment. These usually fade away within one or two days. Most patients can return back to their normal day to day activities the very next day post their procedure.

Skin Boosters have become increasingly popular amongst women and men in recent years. We offer patients the most reputable brands on the market such Profhilo and Jalupro.

One of the most popular skin boosters we apply are called Profhilo and Jalupro. The booster is essentially a hyaluronic acid-based gel, that naturally occurs in the body and it helps maintain moisture. Once injected the booster stimulates specific skin cell receptors that support the elastin and collagen synthesis in order to combat signs of aging, including drooping skin. As a result, the booster improves the skin elasticity and provides a fresh, radiant glow immediatelly post administration.

The booster is predominatly used to treat wrinkle reduction, dullness in the face and neck. However, the booster can be also used to treat the décolletage, arms, hands, and knees, as well as any other portion of the body that displays indications of ageing.

The treatment is minimally invasive and it normally takes between 30-4o minutes for the whole procedure. Initially we apply a numbing cream for no more than 10 minutes.  The downtime is minimal and you should see results instantly that will improve over time. Alcohol is not recommended, taking aspirin or any anti-inflammatory medications for 24 hours post your procedure. Additionally, we advise that cosmetics and make-up should be avoided for 24 hours as well as excessive exercising. Heat and high temperatures such as saunas should be avoided in the first day post your treatment.

For Profhilo two appointments are required with a gap of 4 weeks for the best results. For Jalupro, you will be advised post your consultation what would be the desirable treatment course for you. The booster effect is long-lasting and usually it is advisable that in 6 months you visit your practioner for a review appointment.

Please note, Jalupro skin booster is better for people over the age of 45 because it includes more hyaluronic acid than Profhilo.

Biological micro-needling is the new revolutionary facial treatment that can be used to replace radio frequency(RF), the standard micro-needling, and derma pen. Stimulate the body’s scar-healing response and increase skin cell renewal. The creation of collagen and elastin is initiated as your skin heals, giving you an almost instant plumping effect. It can also aid in the treatment of scars, dark marks, sun exposure, and skin ageing.

The procedure takes 15-20 minutes to complete. The face is cleaned thoroughly and the practioner starts applying the serum which consists of Spongilla Spicule extract. The serum is gently massaged in the areas that require treating and with gentle movements the serum can deeply penetrate and absorb into the skin. A repairing mask is applied after to moisturise the skin and reduce the initial redness that normally appears. The procedure finishes with gentle cleansing and a hydration cream or/and sun protection cream.

Normally 3-4 days post treatment the skin will start to peel, it is rather flaking  as opposed to largely shredding . It is essential to understand that this treatment aids the development of new skin and therefore it is not a quick treatment. For optimal results it is required to have the treatment once a week three or four times, depending on the skin concern and conditions. Once the recommended course is completed, patients normally enjoy a fresh, even out skin tone, and younger looking skin for a long time. At home care as always is essential such as cleansing and sun protection.

A revolutionary technology that improves skin’s texture. RF Microneedling, also known as Radiofrequency Microneedling is used for both skin resurfacing and skin tightening. This treatment shows visible results after the very first session for most patients. Thanks to the energy from radio waves and heat that penetrate the deep skin layers, the so important new collagen productions starts.

The treatment is used to combat signs of aging, such as lines and wrinkles as well reduce and minimise skin pores and stretch marks. It is also widely used to treat scars and marks, imrove skin tone and elasticity. RF microneedling does not cause damage to the upper layer of the skin which is often a concern for patients.  The upper layer of the skin may show redness and mild swelling.

For optimal results, 4-5 treatments are recommended with 1 month apart. The procedure should be avoided if:

  • there is currently use of accutane
  • Have an active cold sore breakout
  • Have a moderate to severe skin disease (like psoriasis)
  • Are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy
  • Are pregnant
  • are taking anticoagulants
  • have a history of keloids, hypertrophic scarring, or poor wound healing

The procedure duration varies depending on the concern and the size of area treated. It normally takes between 30 to 60 minutes to complete. A numbing cream is applied to a clean face to minimise the discomfort the patient may experience.

If face and neck are treated, a cocktail of meso products may be applied to help the skin rejuvenate.

On completion, a calming gel or mask is applied to the treated area.

Mesotherapy is a versatile procedure that can help with fat reduction, skin rejuvenation, hair loss and even body sclupting. It is often used to reduce cellulite, wrinkles and to contour the body. Mesotherapy has been around for a long time, and it continues to be one of the most popular treatments, especially when used in combination with others.

A very small needle is used to inject a cocktail of skin beneficial ingredients under the dermal layer of the skin, specifically into the subcutaneous fat tissue. The cocktail consists of vitamins, enzymes, plant extracts, minerals, anti-inflamatory compounds and more. The cocktail is mixed by your aesthetician depending on the skin concern and goals. Each injection can be administered at depths from 1-4 mm. To decrease discomfort you may be numbed. To perform the treatment, a motorised pistol may be used so the aesthetician can administer many small injections in succession.

It is recommended to do  more than one mesotherapy treatment. The treatment is initially performed every 7-10 days, if the results are desirable, the treatments can be spaced to once a month.

It is interesting to know that Lecithin and isoproterenol are two of the most often utilised compounds for the treatment of cellulite and body fat reduction. Lecithin is a substance present in human bile that is required for fat digestion, whereas isoproterenol is a lipolytic drug that causes a chemical process in the body that breaks down fat cells.

Nell is a wonderful and very talented young lady. She has been a patient of our clinic for a while now. At age of 32 she wants to ensure her features are enhanced and she maintains a healthy, youthful glow whilst remaining natural. She had a thorough consultation with Lidiya, our face and body expert. Lidiya has proposed a Hydrofacial to clean and enhance the skin quality, Anti-wrinkle injection in the forehead which will not create a frozen look, but aim to create a tighter looking skin.
